The Loft is designed for experienced, independent stylists who have built a loyal clientele and are ready for a long-term professional home. We are looking for artists who are self-motivated, serious about their craft, and genuinely enjoy being part of a collaborative community.

If you are still in the early stages of building your book, we recommend waiting until your client flow is steady. This protects your success and the integrity of the community we are building here.

Every month. We have our own content team — they come in during your normal appointments and photograph and film you working. Not a styled shoot you have to plan around or pay for.

The files are handed over free, yours to use however you want. We'll also show you how to film yourself behind the chair between clients.

Stylists pay $300 to $800 a month for this elsewhere. No other salon, suite or studio in this market includes it.

Everything you need to work is already here. Your rental includes a furnished private station with a lockable cabinet, full access to the color bar and styling stations, the client lounge, and a fully furnished breakroom. Backbar shampoos, conditioners, towels, luxury capes, laundry, and coffee and wine for your clients are all included at no extra charge.

You also receive GlossGenius booking software, 24/7 secure keyless access, and marketing support through our social media and website presence — plus the monthly photo and video shoot.

Your own color line, your tools, your license and your liability insurance. That's standard for chair rental anywhere — and it means your formulas, your brand and your pricing stay yours.

Through August, the first three chairs lease at $250 per week, locked for twelve months. First week free.

After those three, our standard rates apply. A 12-month lease is $300 per week, and annual members receive one free week of rent each year. A 6-month lease is $350 per week.

The annual lease wins on every level: lower rate, locked longer, and built-in time off. The 6-month option is there for stylists who want to experience the space before making a longer commitment.

Yes, completely. As an independent stylist at The Loft you have full control over your service menu, pricing structure, booking policies, and client relationships. We provide the space and the support. Your business is entirely your own.

Yes, liability insurance is required. We're happy to point you to an agent who works with stylists.

You will find artists who share formulas, help each other in a pinch, and enjoy the energy of working alongside people who care about their craft as much as you do.

The space itself is minimalist and sun-filled. It was designed to feel like the business you have already built.

The Loft was founded by Heather and Ryan Dietiker. Heather is an elite stylist and former brand educator with 20 years behind the chair. She has worked in commission salons, independent environments, and suite rentals, and built The Loft to be the space she always wished existed.

Ryan brings a background in salon business operations, stylist education, and brand marketing, including Forefathers Grooming, one of the most reviewed barbershops in Michigan. He also runs the content team that shoots for our stylists. Together, they designed every detail of The Loft from the ground up.
